According to an Nvidia blog post, The team behind Nvidia Shield are teaming up with Valve to bring the critically acclaimed puzzle game Portal to the handheld system.
The FPS/puzzle hybrid game has created something of a new genre - a concept that's a bit hard to wrap your head around without actually seeing it in action.
Portal will land on Nvidia's Android-based Shield device sometime in the near future, according to yesterday's announcement.
"Our companies have a strong history working together and we’re looking forward to Portal‘s arrival on Shield," said Valve's Doug Lombardi.
However, it sounds like other Android devices might be out of luck as Valve says it isn't discussing: "additional devices and/or device requirements at this time."
Still, it's good to see Nvidia jump off diving board and into the waters of mobile gaming.
