Turkey is looking to block YouTube following ban on Twitter

Turkey's government is looking to block YouTube after leaked audio of Turkish officials speaking about Syria was posted on Google's video-streaming website.
According to the BBC the block is being imposed by the Turkish telecoms authority TIB however some are still claiming they can get access to the site through their smartphones.
Reuters has investigated the YouTube recording and has confirmed that if true it would be one of the most damaging leaks to appear since the government banned Twitter.
This comes just days after Turkey banned access to Twitter after a user posted allegations of corruption against a former minister. Despite this traffic to the site has remained largely unchanged thanks to alternative routes to Twitter being shared by the population.
