The OnePlus One officially debuted in April promising high-specs for a reasonably low price, although the Chinese startup made it exclusive via an invite-only system.
OnePlus ran promotions through social media to flog its swanky new smartphone, although a lot of people who actually wanted it were left phoneless.
Well if you're one of the needy few we have good news, it looks like OnePlus is finally ending its risky sales tactic and will start selling the One like a normal brand.
The company said during a Reddit ask-me-anything Q&A session that it hopes to open the phone to pre-orders by October at the latest.
"We are working on a pre-orders system, we were initially aiming for September but it's been slightly delayed, hopefully we'll be ready to launch it in October," the company wrote.
Although the change is good news, there is one more slight catch; OnePlus can't guarantee that stock will be readily available so you might end up waiting for your One for weeks, maybe months.
The lesser-known OnePlus will sell the One on a first come, first serve basis so you'd better act quick in October to snatch one up.
The lightweight smartphone has a full HD display and comes with Qualcomm’s Snapdragon 801 platform, a 2.5GHz Krait 400 CPU and 3GB RAM
The OnePlus One will cost £229 for the 16GB model and £269 for the 64GB model.
